I left the cable socket connected but removed the motor from the caliper very easy job.

I wouldn't mind having the car off the road for a little while but my old S60 has just failed its Mot so can't afford to have 2 cars off the road. |

Just replaced mine this morning - the nearside EPB assembly was a nightmare to get off but other than that pad replacement went fine. Only issue I came across after I'd put everything back together was dash showing 'parking brake not fully released' - probably because living on a bit of a slope I had to turn the car round after doing the offside. Easy to reset the module - hold the parking brake button up when you restart the car. All good now
