Default Start/Stop Service Required & Park Assist error

I drove my V60 for the first time in a week the other day and had two error messages pop up: "Start/Stop Service Required" as soon as I started the engine, and "Park Assist Temporarily Unavailable" when I engaged reverse (I only have rear parking sensors).

Are these likely to be battery-charge related issues, based on the fact that the car has had very little use other than for short journeys and then been switched off for long periods of time? I left the engine running for about 30 mins on the drive, but the messages still appear. I also cleaned the parking sensors as they were covered in mud. Therefore, I wonder if the car just needs a proper long run out, which I hope to be able to do once lockdown is lifted a bit?

Or am I better to get them checked out by the garage when I can? I'm not rushing too much as no stop/start isn't the end of the world and I have the 360 cameras so can cope without the sensors for the moment.

My car gets very little use at the moment but I haven't had any messages. The stop/start hasn't worked since December, it only comes to life after a long journey.

Volvo recommend the battery is put on trickle charge for at least 24 hours every couple of weeks when the car is not being used. I do that, and have no error messages and Start/Stop works once the engine has warmed up.
Do make sure you connect the charger as specified in the manual.

Ok thanks. I guess it's time to invest in a trickle charger...

Cheers.

The CTEK is a good choice. Can be found for about £65. It is really simple to set up and use. Does a good job on our 2 Volvos which hae had very little use since last March.

Other chargers are available as they say on the telly.

Hu folks
I know before i ask that you lot are going to fall of your chairs laughing, Which battery should the Ctek be connected to the small one under the bonnet or the real one in the boot.
On another point the reason i ask is that today i went to the car and none of the 360 cameras are working the camera symbol in the Sensus unit has an exclamation mark but it is not showing in fault in message or the centre console . The car has not been used since 12/2/21 took it for arun all other electrical equipment appears to work as normal even front and rear parking sensors any ideas??

Thanks
Brian T

The one under the bonnet, as advised in the manual. Make sure you use the earth post by the nearside wing.

I had the same camera fault a few weeks ago, the pilot assist was slow to operate as well, all came back the next day then failed again so I booked it in to be checked but it came back a few days later after using the car a bit and has remained working, I cancelled my appointment with the dealer. Only ever use the under bonnet charging points.
