Default 2010 Hid Bulb flickering

One of my 2010 active bending hid bulbs is flickering. I will swap the bulbs tomorrow to confirm it’s the bulb rather than ballast but any feedback on how much to spend on the replacement pair of bulbs.

For example amazon have Ozram for approx £35 each. They also have a pair for £115. Not clear if there’s a noticeable difference in price for these or if I should be going for oem make ?

Appreciate anyones experience of replacement bulbs.

Thanks

These guys have a range of products and prices

https://www.powerbulbs.com/store/cat...bs/fitting/d1s

Probably best to replace as a pair.

I have a feeling the OEM is Osram

Cheers

Dave

They have OSRAM Xenarc Night Breaker Laser D1S (Twin) for £191.

Amazon seem to have the same for £115.

They also have cheaper version for £75ish but hard to be sure if there is any real difference between them ?

you can be sure you will get about 7 years out of the volvo bulbs when the headlamps are in use all the time as running lights ...

Thanks Clan. I’m sure the originals are good as my car is over 12 years old. I’ve gone for the more expensive Ozrams so fingers crossed they don’t fail just after the years warranty.

+1 for Powerbulbs, genuine branded lamps, compatibility guide on the website, no quibble returns, they’ve been in the business over 20 years.

+1 also for genuine Volvo supplied lamps but this is one part where even I wouldn’t spend the extra over say an Osram or Phillips option.

I am hoping / trusting that buying from the Osram store on Amazon means they will be genuine.
