Drivers mirror seems to have a mind of it's own
Hi,
noticed that my drivers mirror seems to have a mind of it's own and often just keeps adjusting so that it points down, down, down, and when down just keeps clicking. I open the car, I sit in my driver's seat and suddenly I rlealise the mirror is clicking and now angled down ? Why's that then ? Is there some automatic setting it goes it ? Simon |

Wiring loom maybe or switch, try some electrical switch cleaner in the switch first if it will take some and maybe another switch, then I'd next proceed to the wiring loom in pillar.

Hi I researched this issue and it seems that my car may of have a replacement mirror but the replacement doesn't have the memory function. Seems many suffered from this, where the mirror just keeps angling down and clicking when the wrong type replacement mirror is installed .
Seems the fix is to cut one of the mirror wires to stop power to that motor. You can't just disconnect as the mirror has the outside temp sensor in it Future research required |

I think the temperature sensor is in the passenger side mirror.
