just a little update
I bought the fully threaded 8.8 bolt and washer (from links in my post on a previous page). not fitted yet but I have checked and it will fit more amusingly, the ebay seller - Caffyns-Volvo-Parts - said thank you for the information about some models being different. but instead of noting that on the description, they blocked me and replied to my review saying 'these bolts are correct buyer is wrong' lol some people just cant be helped even when you go out of your way to try I have messaged him pointing out my budget is 10k and I've only spent 6 so far, but thanks for the block. bit petty maybe.
