Prices are often led by the supermarkets. Is there still a Tesco filling station in Swaffham? It'll pitch the prices at what it can get and others will follow suit.

from memory the Tesco store doesn't have a gas station, but the Waitrose just over the road does. Certainly there is supermarket fuel in the town.
I can't explain why it would sell diesel much more expensively than petrol - that is beyond me.

:-(

I may have it wrong, might have been Thetford or Kings Lynn. Knowing her it could easily have been either of those.

I just noticed the RAF blue car still didn't get any bids at just under 2 grand Dave:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volvo-240....c100276.m3476

... so much for it being the last chance to buy! I think that is either the third or fourth auction with no bids at the opening price - surely the seller must get the idea that he has over-priced it soon!

:-)

See if it gets relisted again tomorrow morning Alan - still 16h left on this auction as i type.

That said you have to question the sanity of someone who openly advertises the car has been resprayed courtesy of the RAF even if i'd call it "helicopter grey" instead of blue!

That said my car is officially green so i can't shout too loud on that subject!

Ah, you are right Dave, there is still a bit of time to go on that auction, my mistake.

I just watched the end of the auction for the RAF paint car Dave (I know, I need to get out more) - surprise, surprise: still no bids at the starting price.

I suppose all those punters will be disappointed they have missed a dodgy cat for 2 grand, and the seller will have to use it to commute to work. Ho hum.

Alan :-)

It looks like that Japanese import car isn’t selling as well as the dealer hoped, it is for auction now:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLVO-240....m46890.l49292

It is at £3,000 at the moment with 9 days to go. It will be interesting to see what it makes, I’d have thought £3,000 would be cheap and £5,000 expensive.

:-)

Default Keeping an eye on 240 prices...

This car looks nice:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volvo-240....m46890.l49292

I’m no expert, but I don’t think this is very original for a 240 GL, it looks like it has had lots of (nice) bling bits fitted over the years. I can’t help but like it in the same way that I do the RB. I like all those gauges, the suspension looks smart and it has (of course) Virgo wheels.

It is at £3,000 at the moment with 5 days to go. It won’t be an historic car for another 8 years, but I like it and it would be nice to see it make £4,000 - although I think that would be a lot for a 32 year old.

I’ll keep an eye on it :-)
