Is it possible that the new flasher relay is actually the wrong one, and some or all the connections are in the wrong place?

Definitely correct and has terminals labeled with same letters.

Bench test shows it lights a bulb, but no flashing.

Have ordered genuine part (at 4x the cost!).

Such a simple problem, yet I feel that if it doesn't work this time I might need psychological help rather than Volvo forum!

Love this guy's videos. However, was going to say that it wasn't relevant to me, as I've not done my indicators, but then he started doing the reversing lamp.

Now why didn't I think of that?
