Default Speaker wiring question...

SWMBO car has a dodgy speaker and in an effort to save some £££ i am going to fit some aftermarket replacement components.

Now i know a bit about wiring speakers but i have a question.......

Car currently has separate tweeters and a mids in front doors, off side mid is blowing.

If i replace the mids do i need to fit the included crossover? Surely there is a factory crossover in the HU? If i leave tweeters stock then surely tthats ok if id also fit the new tweeters there must be a cross over for them from HU? or do OEM speaker have the Xover on the driver? and all outputs from HU are full range? or is there an oem Xover some where else in the loom?

Car is a corsa based tigra with a CD30 VDO HU which has FL+/FL- and RF+/RF- outs on HU so there must be a Xover somewhere already?

on car tweeters there is usually a capacitor on the tweeter which does the job ..

I think the only volvo with a crossover unit is the pro logic system in the old C70 .
The days of quality before the cost cutting ..
