Angry V90 oil leak - rocker cover

Hi. We have already spent over £6,000 sorting out an oil leak in our V90 cross country. Two shock absorbers (leak in one), turbo charger (had to take engine out to get to it), gasket (cracked whilst removing engine). 5 weeks later we are about to pay for a rocker cover to be replaced because the leak is still there. We are not keen and cannot afford to spend more money on it. We are possibly thinking about just topping up with oil for another 6 months, and then getting a different car. We cannot afford a new or second hand one right now. Any thoughts very welcome. Its done 100,000 miles and diesel.

2017. Got it new. It had been used as a demonstration car. Weve done alot of mile because we lived in the Highlands for 3 years.

It seems you might have incompetent people working on your car. You dont have to take the engine out to remove turbochargers. Not an easy job , but they might have gone their own way and taken the engine out to do it . Multiple problems like this just don't happen on volvos .you have been extremely unlucky. What was wrong with the turbocharger ? The only reason they can fail is due to oil supply or quality issues. Did you let the oil run out due to the leak? The top cover oil leak was a problem on a few cars around 2018 but a modified cover sorted that.

Clan is right. For £6,000 you could have had an engine rebuild. Whereabouts in London are you?
