V70 2000 2.4 Classic Pollen Filter

Can anyone please advise the Volvo number for the pollen filter for this car - it fits under the cover in front of the windscreen?

Graham,

I think the numbers you want are:
Filter housing - 9192523
Filter - 9171296

Filters you can get from aftermarket suppliers. The housing has to come from Volvo (Nordic may do them). I beleive that the filter is the same for the V70 classics and the 850's.

If you are getting the housing as well, you should get the supplier to check the part number as there have been supercessions. If they're using VADIS they'll find it hidden in the Heater, Air ducts subsection of the Body and Interior Section.

Thanks for the info. I have the housing already, with a dirty filter. Thinking about it, I should have taken out the filter again, the number is probably on it!

Nordic have the filters available for around £14, versus £21 from Volvo

You can get the filters from GSF and Euro parts as well for about the same price as Nordic.

I think the genuine items have a carbon element in to remove smells. I'm not sure if the aftermarket ones do.
