V90 Media USB - Formats?
I'm about to download some online music purchases from the Qobuz site, which offers various formats.
I'm intending to download the tracks in FLAC format for transfer to a USB stick for playing in my Volvo V90 2017, but I have the option of downloading either in: 16bit/44.1KHz; or 24bit/96KHz; or 24bit/192KHz. Does anyone know which FLAC formats are playable through the V90 2017 Media USB facility? Thanks |

I ripped some CDs to FLAC at 16bit/44.1KHz and they play fine. I haven't tried any higher quality settings as I'm certain I wouldn't hear any improvement in quality given the environment in a car.

V90 Media USB - Formats?
Thanks Lexman8
Good to know 16bit/44.1KHz works fine, and I reckon you're right about not hearing improvement in higher quality formats in the car environment. I might also be using the memory stick at home as input to my Marantz hi-fi, so it might be worth my trying a download at 24bit/96Khz and see what happens in the car. I'll let you know. Thanks again. |

USB High-Res Music
So, I downloaded an album from Qobuz in FLAC High-Res 24bit/96KHz, and transferred it to my USB memory stick. Just played it in the V90 through Media USB and it works just fine and sounds really great (especially after I played around with the "Equaliser" options).
Thanks again. |
