I had a full Sensus update the other week and my stop/start works just fine. Unfortunately. In fact since then the whole thing works perfectly as it should.

Perhaps a "vddm-total reload'' is something other than what I got. It went in for the update because the battery was dud and for the top airbag recall, plus because the navigation lost the car's position regularly and the stop/start didn't work [which was likely due to the low voltage due to the duff battery].

I am sure my problem is aslo due to a duff stop start support battery as stop start works fine for a day (2 at most) after battery has been charged, I do not think it is holding its charge. The main starter battery is ok never had a problem with that one.
While my car was in for servicing and update they will have had the battery hooked up to a charger/supply so after picking car up the battery will have been charged but it has not lasted long, I will insist they check the battery when it is in on monday for seat backrest mods.

Update: Car back in today to get seats sorted and when I dropped it off they said that it was also getting the stop start sorted as when it was in last week the sensus update took so long that they did not have time to do it as they could not interupt the update. So thats why stop start only worked for one day after getting it back.

Got the S90 R Design back as a loan car, little things you take for granted on your own car are missed when you dont have them, keyless entry/boot kick opening when hands full, booster seat, electric seat adjustment to name just a few. Took me a while trying to get drivers seat back before I realised there was a pull up bar under the seat to move it. Life is so hard.

When I had a D5 XC90 as a loaner I really missed the joystick style gear stick of the T8. Pulling the shifter back and forth from D to R when parking seemed a right pain......
