Well, last week I ditched the Conti typres on the front, moved the rears (Hankook A23 I think it is) to the front and put some tasty Wintrak 4 Xtremes on teh rear. Noce tyres. Glad the Contis are gone as the steerinf precision at the front is now much better and best of all, the mental traction control light flash is now gone. I was convinced it was a fault but it looks like it was the crappy Contis. Not cjeap tyres at £150 each but I am assured they are the business and they come well recommended, including from members on here.
This morning I managed to get the timing belat and aux belt and all the idlers and pulleys and stuff done too. Thankfully the old ones that came off were in excellent condition and I'm convined they'd have done the same mileage again at some 97k. Happy days. and at near 40mpg I'm very happy with it having done some 14k mile sin 6 months! Crap ride over potholes and rough roads though on the 18" wheels. Would prefer 17s. Ah well. |

Just reread this post. Apologies: full of typos....dinner was out and I was in a hurry. It's stretch or starve in our gaff.
