Default XC60 Dog Crate

Hi, new to this site and have just purchased a XC60 (picking it up on Monday), I have been looking at the Volvo dog crates, which are quite expensive, I was wondering if anyone had purchased one else where or have any recommendations?

I have also looked for 2nd hand ones and not found any for the car (2019)

I appreciate views / comments etc.

Many thanks in advance

My daughter has a very substantial, crash proof dog crate in her XC70. It has two key lockable doors and if they are damaged or inaccessible there is an escape door at the front accessible by dropping the rear seats. It was made to measure by a specialist firm in south west Scotland to fit her previous car, a V50, and fortunately also fits into the load area of her current XC70. Unfortunately, the only current Volvo it will fit into now is the XC90 due to the sloping rear end of the current Volvo estates seriously reducing the load area useable space. It was not cheap, over £500 I believe. I don’t know how that compares with the Volvo one, nor do I know the specifications of the Volvo one, but I guess that the Volvo one will fit your car and secure properly.
If you are interested I will obtain the supplier details and now much hers actually cost.

sounds like you're on about Transk9
https://transk9.com/select/volvo/vol...23ss-dog-cage/

I looked at them, as some friends us them, but i wanted one a bit more airy for my dog and got a minisafe

https://mimsafeuk.com/variocage/

Surprisingly, these were crash tested in a volvo too!

Not cheap, but worth the cost, and i've moved it into various volvos when i've had a courtesy car for services etc and no issues with fitting and sizing as it's adjustable.

We have 2020 xc60.
The Savic dog crate one with sloping door fits ours spot on, can't remember where we got it though.

Yes. It is a Transk9. She bought after seeing one in someone else’s car.
That mimsafe looks quite clever..
