Default how do i fit a bleed valve, 2.0t lpt

I fancied turning the turbo up a bit and have opted for a bleed valve, my question is this, firstly what pipe do i attach it to? And where abouts on that pipe is best, and secondly do i attack the boost guage onto the same hose and should i attach that before or afterwards on the hose if that makes sense? And thirdly if ihave the bleed valve turned all the way down does that equate to stamdard boost?

Thanks in advance for your opinions

Tom

you dont want a bleed valve you need a manual boost controler, it attaches to the turbo and actuator, the boost gauge connects to the vac tree near the throttle body, dont just turn it right up you will melt your engine, you will want it about 11psi

Isn't a bleed valve basically a manual boost controller anyway? Basically the car cost me 300 quid, i just want it to be a bit more pokey without too much monetary outlay, its only something for me to tinker with but surely how much damage can i do if i fit a bleed valve, turn it up to about 11-12 psi and it doesnt spike at all? I am just trying to avoid the hassle of taking the heatshield off to get to the turbo is all, is it really that much of a bad idea?

bleed valves have 3 outlets have, mbc's have 2, if you turn it up too much the ecu wont be able to match the fuel for the boost you have demanded so it will run lean and melt your pistons, hence why people remap so the fueling is correct
