V60 belts and doors message
My 63 plate V60 often stores a message stating belts and doors. The display normally goes away very quickly after startup; however sometimes the belts and doors picture stays displayed for several seconds and is stored as a message in the menu. I don't get a warning noise or have the display go red. The car is currently in with the dealer again but they are struggling to find anything wrong. Has anyone else experienced this?

I get this all the time. I presumed it was because I always have a dog restraint inserted into one of the belt receptacles in the back seat but no one is sat in that seat.

I see this sometimes - not usually if I am in the car alone but sometimes if there is one or more passengers.
It also showed up when I had not closed the boot properly - but that is when I want to see it.

And me. Usually if someone's sat in the back.

It does that when the engine is running, or in start stop mode, and another rear seat passenger opens the door, closes the door and belts up.
Press OK and disappears. I get it a lot when picking the kids friends up on the way to the gym.

Belts and door warning symbol triangle with exclamation
2016 V60 Premier
Warning light on. I checked all my doors, sat in the car, and buckled the driver’s side belt. There was nothing in my other seats and the warning light with the triangle and exclamation point would not go away. So I looked around the outside of the car and noticed my hood (bonnet) was not completely latched in the front left hand corner facing the car. It was barely noticeable. I pushed it down into place and the light went off. I hope this resolves the mystery for others. |
