Any of the volvo dealers that sell on ebay still open? I have bought from Mills volvo Newcastle on Tyne via ebay in the past. First to try would be FRF in Swansea but given its a hotspot down there I doubt they are open.

It would certainly be easier volvo but I think the injectors are boche so a generic part may do the job.

Cheers Paul I actually spoke to FRF today and they are open, he can order the right part but it has to be the whole leak rail which is £100, but my mate has already spent out in parts so I'll have to see if he can afford it, as can't find the individual part at all on ebay.

Got a mate who's trying to source one through a friend and I have messaged an ebay seller who specialises in injector parts. Was told there bosch Piezo Injectors. So I'll leave it till Monday, hopefully something crops up

Was that price with the forum discount? If you tell them you are a member of this forum you get a discounted price. Discount covered the courier cost on a headlamp I bought from them once.

Right so just to finish this thread off, I ordered the leak off pipe set from FRF Swansea Volvo, and its a replacement part they dont make the old leak off lines anymore.

The only way I could remove the old ones was to cut them off, their utter crap. thankfully the replacement part is much better its routed different to the old one and requires a different clip.

whats more my friend only had one injector leaking so only replaced the sealing washer on one injector, since this another has started leaking so its definitely worth changing them all in one go.

The plot thickens.. So all injector seals have been replaced new new off rail absolutely no fuel leaks, took it for a drive, everything seemed sweet plenty of power no issues, decided to take it on the bypass give it abit of a run half way along it loses power uphill struggles to rev over 3000 rpm like its in limp mode, looked online seems like a common problem but has multiple causes, so could be dpf, maf, fuel pressure sensor, intercooler pipes.

Didn't throw any codes, I told my mate that he should prob take it to volvo specialist. Apart from the intercooler pipes I would know how to single out the other potential problems, don't want to suggest replacing anything if not sure that's what's causing it

Are you using a VIDA/DiCE? Trying to second guess modern electronic controlled cars by symptoms alone is like trying to swat flies with a banana! VIDA should tell you what faults the ECU is logging for itself. Technical assistance on this forum should be limited to how to fix a known fault that has been diagnosed by VIDA, not us all having guesses from a long list of possibles that may be similar to something that once happened to our cars. Sorry to sound harsh but the times are changing and electronics have both hindered and helped DIY car repair and maintenance. Today DIY Volvo owners buy themselves a VIDA/DiCE and help others to help them.

+1 - VIDA-DICE is definitely worth the money for anyone working on Volvos - I paid about £90 for mine off this site & installed it on an old Windows laptop.

If you do decide to purchase VIDA/Dice, then a member on here called cheshired5 will be able to help you in that neck of the woods. His service is excellent, the equipment he sells is fully tested & working, so its literally plug in & away you go. I & many others on this forum highly recommend him.

Check his thread linked below, which gives prices etc & you can ask any questions you may have too.
