where can we follow the resto of your engine?
Is the B20E exhaust manifold of a better "flow"design as the B20A suiting twin downpipes?

I'll post the engine build on here: http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showth...=123242&page=6 Just rebuilding the carbs today. I'm not sure which standard manifold flows the best.

I understand it is the one that KG Trimning and Skandix supply (stage 1 and 2). I also understand prior to sourcing his own States side that John Parker from VPD also recommended this.
I have the stage 2 on my car and its beeen very good (as if I can tell!!)

I misunderstood the question sorry. The manifold is a type 3 manifold from KG trimning. It will flow very well but the exhaust pipe is 62mm od. The one in the top right of the pic is the manifold.

Thanks Russ, any change in the power coming on later with the stage two? I thought about getting a stage 1 or 2 for the Amazon later on.

I was wondering when you bought the head from Sten Parner is there was some stated flow rates. Do they claim that the stage I is 10% over stock and stage II is 20% or something like that?

I havent anything to compare against as I rebuilt this engine from a standard engine that was well past its best. It also had the twin downpipe with cast iron inlet (which we all know flow very well) but compression was well down
However the car is no slouch especially between 2000 and 4000rpm. All the way up the A3 I had a play with a 120d and it was only above 90 did he start to pull away (that is 90inches per hour of course).
Personally its a combination of a lot of things but Im sure the manifold helps. I also had it ceramic coated and the temp is significantly lower than when it had the exhaust wrap.
I recall the outlet was around 65mm with the primaries about 45mm. It was the larger of the two available then.
After the collector I have a step down to 50mm but its easily changed when I get to rebuilding the B20 I have planned (and hopefully with your parts!!)
