Default further help needed regarding ongoin suspension issue

Just collected my V70 from the dealer who promptly replaced the bushes on the rear trailing arms.
Drove on motorway with no problem but on side roads there is a very random loud 'clunking' noise when I drive over a ramp or dip in the road. I'm not driving at any great speed.
Would this simply be the new bushes 'bedding in'? If there is such a thing?? Or do I have a further problem with the suspension that the dealer hasn't picked up??? (There is also a Volvo / alko towbar that appears to have been on since new?)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to appear as a paranoid customer to the dealer but I also don't want to end up paying out for costly suspension repairs a month or two down the road.

I wouldn't know what the noise is but if you can here it I would ring the dealer up to say you will be coming in. When there you need to get service to go out in the car with you so you can make sure they here the noise.

Leaving it there blind often leads to them missing the noise and repairing something unrelated or nothing at all because they say they can't here anything. Especially if you are not a paying costumer.

You'd better off asking a technical question in the specific technical section for your car.
We don't even know what model of V70 you have.

Having had dodgy trailing arm bushes, I'm guessing P3 but.....

Yes, P3 as suspected.

If I was in that situation, I would do a U turn and get straight back to the dealer, explain the noise, get someone to go out in the vehicle with me and listen for the noise. Even if it means booking it back in at a later date to investigate/rectify at least the problem has been raised soonest and the dealer cannot 'wriggle out' of investigating.

This is not a time for b*ggering about, get straight back to the dealer.

Similar suggestion to the one I just made on the other thread: http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showth...02#post2273802
