How do the little red door marker lights look on the front doors? If they are unbroken I’ll have them.

Also, driver’s side foglight (just need the housing from the back, Don’t need the lens).

I’ve just bought a tailgate wiring look from a mk1 V70 for my 855, but if it doesn’t work I may have the loom off you too.

Thanks, Joe

Hi Joe

I used the red lenses off the doors. This Model didn’t have front fog lights. Keep me informed regarding your wiring loom.

Hi Amazondean,

I pulled the wiring from the V70 but to be honest it looks different at the connector for the 3rd brake light (which is causing me the issues), as the V70 brake light is mounted at the top of the rear screen, and the 850 mounted at the bottom.
I may go for your wiring just for convenience sake (850 into 850).

How much would you be looking for, posted to Glasgow G33 post code?

(A tip if you can remove wiring - I found it easier to remove the one from the V70 by feeding the cables out of the tailgate and through the car body, instead of trying to fit the huge plug connector through the hinge gap).

Hi Joseph, I will look into it later this week. I’ve not taken the wiring out of this section before, so any tips are welcome. I’ll get back to you

Thanks. Dean

Hi Dean,

No problem, thanks. I started by disconnecting each part as attached inside the tailgate - for example the brake light, wiper motor, heated rear window etc. Then on the left side where the wiring is attached, undo the two Torx (T25 I think) bits and then you can, in effect, feed the wiring through from the tailgate and into the car body via the hinge. I did it this way as I'm pretty certain that feeding the big multi-plug connector through is what damaged the wiring when I replaced the tailgate on my 850.

As an aside, what colour is the dashboard? If it is black, I may ask for the glove box lid, as the lid on one of my 850s is stuck closed.

Hi Dean

Do you still have the clocks (speedo etc) available please? I have a 2.5 850 Saloon (MY1996) and the trip/distance mileage has stopped recording, it's been stuck on 112k for ages now so I guess I really should get round to fixing it.

Hi, yes I do have the instrument cluster, although the milometer has also stopped working on this one. It only costs £14 for a new gear wheel, but a couple of hours replacing it if it's still in the car. A little fiddly but as long as you are patient, and have u tube to hand, you should be fine.
Thanks
