A blue version of the badge is also available on Amazon.

In September last year (2018) I ordered another Polestar blue badge from my local Volvo dealership; the part number was V40005932 'Customer Pack', and the price was £2.60, including VAT.
The parts staff check your VIN/Reg No to check your car is Polestar 'optimised' before they are 'allowed' to order the pack for you. The pack includes the same booklet and box as given when optimisation is done. Of course, since I made my purchase in February, the part (badge) may have been changed from the older blue one to the new white one? Best to check first... |

I rang the parts department at the local Volvo dearler and he said that when they order the Polestar badge the new white one comes now.

So I got it done today, driving back about 30 miles good roads to give it a good thrash.
Honestly I wasn't overwhelmed. Very slightly better throttle response, and I notice previously the power would flatten out at about 4000 rpm it seems to go a little better between 4000-5500 rpm. It's subtle though, I was hoping for a bit more. My thing is how would you ever know they even did anything? And if it were to ever get wiped? The other thing that annoyed me, is it's takes an hour right, but they do this health check thing, so that probably took 58 minutes, and the software 2 minutes to upload. I don't need them to tell me my tyres are in good condition I am very capable of doing that myself. Could they not have just asked? ...plus, when I got in the car the maintenance note came up, so had to get them to take that off. |
