Default trim restorer

can any recommend a product or procedure on restoring black external trim?

on the xc70's there is a lot of this around the wheel arch's and bumpers. I want to treat it before it gets bad.

Thanks

Someone will probably come on and say I've done something terrible but I just sprayed the acres of graying black plastic with a can of Lidl's silicon spray. It came up black like new and shrugs off dirt. A £2.69 can is going to treat the car about a dozen times!

I use 'Back to Black' spray from Tesco, not sure of maker, but a well known one Simoniz??? ... sold for car trim. Very often on special offer and does a great job. Spray and wipe over with soft cloth. Just make sure all the trim is covered. Last quite a long time as well. One can does the car maybe 4 or 5 or more times.
Cheers, phil

Gtechniq C4 is about the best there is, but it is very expensive. A little goes a long way though.

This.

I'm a regular GTechniq user and I've just done the OH's Mini Countryman trim in C4.

£20 for a small amount but does go a very long way.

Auto glym trim and rubber restorer. Even removes the Polish marks that inevitability get on the plastic armour of an xc70.

X2. But if you really want to make a job of it heat the plastic with a heat gun then apply. A few inches at a time. It's a few hours work but lasts years!
