Default Another newbie question

Just come back from a 250 mile run. After about 150 miles I got a message in the display"Reduced engine power" with a picture of a tortoise. After a few minutes everything went back to normal.
Tried looking through the handbook but did not know where to start.
2016 D4 Lux Nav.
Any ideas?

There should be a stored diagnostic trouble code relating to the problem. You need to have that code read using an OBD2 scanner.

I did think that it may have something to do with regeneration?

I doubt it, as DPF regen problems aren't widely reported on these.

If we're guessing (and if it's a 4-cylinder VEA 2L engine) then I'd say you might be starting to suffer the common EGR blockage problems. But guessing can be very misleading.

EGR blockage problems.
It is a 2ltr VEA. Can you point me in the direction of any info on the problem? It has only done 13k in 3 years!

Edit to say that I have found the thread. It is a 2016 reg car so I should have the latest improved EGR and cooler?
Is there any "from engine number" information around?

There's a huge forum thread on the subject (mine is on its second EGR valve and its third EGR cooler)... https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=221555

Additionally, quite a few VEA vehicle owners have recently received a preliminary 'recall notification' which does mention the warning light coming on... https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=296328

I still suggest you get the stored code read before panicking!

I will certainly get the fault code read.
As I bought the car from a non Volvo dealer is there some way to inform Volvo of the new owner so that they have me on there radar?
Sorry for the many questions and I appreciate your help.

Volvo will get the ownership details from DVLA so I don't see that you need to notify them, although it can't do any harm (especially if you mention being aware of the 'pre-recall' warning letters. I bought my ex-leasehire V60 a year ago from a local auction house and this has never been any sort of issue, however I have since used a local Volvo dealership for servicing and replacement of both my EGR valve & cooler and they were fantastically helpful in getting a 100% Volvo goodwill on the cooler and 50% on the valve (so it still cost me £337).

However if your car is still under warranty from wherever you bought it then it should obviously be repaired by them for free. Personally I'd want to know the stored fault code before taking it to them in order to discuss the rectification details... if it is the EGR cooler becoming blocked I worry that they may attempt a quick bodge that could cause you future problems with Volvo goodwill if/when the problem ever reoccurs. But I am a natural worrier...

Had the codes read:
PO61B-64
PO60C-68
UO301-41
U2013-24

Does any of this make sense?

They aren't codes that I've ever seen whenever I've had a warning message or engine problem. Try searching the forum, using the first 5 characters of each code (making sure to use zeros).
