Default XC60 - Washing goes wrong!

Felt guilty about the state of the car sat in the garage today, decided to wash it, nice day after all. Start the car to pull out of the garage and a "book a service" message came up, bugger, I cannot claim a free service as it was for the UK only, I'm living in Holland at present (did plan on having it done when we visit the UK at Easter). Bad timing I suppose.

On washing one of the wheels, I found a screw firmly embedded in the tread of one of the rears, bugger again. Hopefully it can be pulled and plugged, although it is quite close to the shoulder. I can hope! Car is fitted with Pirelli P Zero Rosso tyres. If I need a replacement can I get just one, or, do I need to change both rears so that the rolling circumference is the same, heard from a friend with an XC90 who was told to change both rather than have 1 new one on an axle as it screws the electronics.

I suppose moral of the story, is to leave the car dirty in the garage, that way the service light wouldn't have come on and I would not have noticed the screw in the tyre! Still love it though, great car, looks even better now it is clean!

Its ok " book a service " comes on a month before it is due , then it says "service due " then a month after " service overdue" !
