Question Do T4 front seats fit my 1.9D ??

Just seen these on Jerrybay:

http://www.ebay.de/itm/Volvo-V40-Tei...item19fc7ce145

Frankfart is only about 2 hours on a Sunday, so I'm within pick up range!

Anyone know if sport seats will fit my old P2 diesel ??

PS: Just noticed another set with free post:

I don't see why not skyship, aslong as its the same phase as youres as the airbags are different,i didn't realise the t4 seats were different from the tractor seats.you wont some nice heated leather seats for those cold Germanic nights.

The second set are from a phase 1 so no good for your car, the first link do appear to be from a phase 2, you will need seats from a phase 2 for them to be plug and play.

T4 seats are different. They have a special coating to resist brown trouser stains for when the turbo kicks in and that sharp left hand corner is much, much, closer than you thought.

Thanks all, BUT I have ordered a new furry seat cover that is TUV approved for SIPS AND brown trousers stains.

http://www.ebay.de/itm/Univ-Sitzbezu...item418bd4ca0f

I'm going to duct tape up the damaged area, cos not even a TUV inspector will look under seat covers!

Someone asked me recently if a bumper bar from a different car was
plug and play, (whatever that is) knowing that there was a 100mm
difference in the widths of the cars.
I told him that the mount positions and configuration were completely
foreign to each other, with which he proceeded to argue that he had
heard, probably on the idiotnet that the mod had been done and it was
plug and play.
I suggested that anything could be made to FIT, but it was definitely not REMOVE and REFIT.
You know, like guards and indicators to put a Ph11 Bumper on a Ph1.
He then continued to argue, this time that plug and play was relevant terminology
in todays world of cars

This is the calibre of todays make believe car people

So to cut a really weird story short, I've got both cars in front of me
looking at them, and someone wants to argue with what they have read
on the internet

This stuff beggars belief

Those first half-leather seats are Ph2 compatible, but I've only seen them fitted in the Ph1.5 b**tard hybrid Sport trim, and they are perched much higher than the standard bucket seats, so if you're tall, buy with caution, you won't be able to see out of the windscreen.

If you're not tall (I'm 6'3"), then they are more comfortable than the bucket seats, IMHO, definitely easier to get in and out of the car, and a great upgrade.

Plug and play = Normally used in computer terms when something is compatible to just plug in and use as it is. Has been adopted for nearly everything now as a term for something that is easily compatible so 'fit and use' can mean the same. Plug means yes it will fit the same and play means carry on and enjoy.
