At the end of the day it is best to get seats from the same phase car so they are a straight swap. Of course any seat can be made to fit but can entail a lot of work, if that is what a person want's then great but in this case I believe a 'plug and play' or straight swap in old English is what was wanted.
I wrote that myself with no help from the 'idiotnet'. |

I'll get some of my panel shop mates to write up their next few quotes for the insurance assessors
replacing remove and refit with Item 3. Unplug because it's not playing and plug and hopefully it will play again soon windscreen .75hrs and see what they all think about what has been adopted where and by whom "Hey Jimbo, how was work today?" "Not bad Smiffy, plugged and played a timing chain on a Ferrari!" At the end of the day people go to sleep

If it makes them happy then great. Horses for courses. Some like to use these phrases, some don't. As long as someone understands what is being said I don't think it matters, not to me personally anyway.
As for 'At the end of the day' Idiotnet link I forget that you may not use the same idioms in your part of the world. Last edited by 310den; Mar 2nd, 2015 at 17:40. |

The Frank and Phil old English comedy seconds!
"Hey Frank, you're pretty old school, you'd be getting close to fourty wouldn't you. What term did they use in the olden days in your part of the world when they wanted to know if something fit somewhere and they were dealing with idioms?" "I think it was fit, Phil!"

I think he is not buying them now Gary but decided to tape up damaged bit on old seats and put seat covers on, that's how I read it anyway.
Oh, just looked at the covers on the link.... Blah! |

I never see the point of seat covers. Imagine owning a car from new, for 10 years. Fitting covers on day one, then removing them when you sell the car on. Possibly poor paintwork and interior, except for these 'pristine' seats. It just wouldn't look right. I had a set of white tiger stripe covers on my Micra, back in 1988, but it was 1988 after all! Never had covers on any car seat since. Gary

Covers are exactly that - covers, not protectors. Only time i used them since i "grew up" was bad seats.
