Default male part of a car ciggerate lighter.

The bit you plug in, am i right in thinking the positive wire for these things goes into the bottom part that sticks out the prong.negative goes to the side .am i right.

I meant the actual cylindrical plug, the female part is in the car in situe, the bit you push in that powers the device.its got a metal prong or prope that sticks out at the bottom.and the earth wire in theory should be one of the metal contacts at the side.
