Default 17inch wheel tyre size

I've got a set of 17 inch rota slipstreams going back on my car in a few weeks that need new tyres
What is the std tyre size that you would get on the arcadias

Cheers stu

I think they are 7" wide (7J).

I have 215/45/17's on mine, with stronger side walls XL (extra load type).

Has anyone tried a 225/45x17 on a phase 2 and what were the results?

Pretty sure you will get some rubbing, Inchley, on full lock at the front and possibly either against the rear arches, or the rear inner arch.

17 inch tyres were OEM fit on some V40's with sport suspension. I'm not sure exactly which models (Might be the phase 1 T4), BUT if you look at page 110 of the worlds most common, but least read handbook (The infamous S40/V40 Volvo owners manual), it lists all the sizes that are legal without extra paperwork, like a covering letter (Or company e-mail) from your insurance company.
You don't need a covering note IF you get the wheels and tyres fitted by a professional company and keep the full invoice listing the tyre size.

Perhaps some member with 17 inch wheels can post the list and which exact model of V40 the copy is for, as it's not in my handbook.
