Default Wood Trim in an XC60

Interested to find out how many of you guys spec the Nordic Oak wood with the off black leather (or any other dark upholstery) ... or do most of you go for the aluminium ? .... Ive also been searching hard for any photos of the classic wood trim with dark upholstery ..... the jury is out for me on the Nordic Oak ..... I can still change the spec on my order for another week or so and have been debating this over and over !!

Cheers

Mark

If I had gone for cream leather then it would have been wood trim.
I went for black leather and love the aluminium centre console.

Bit cheeky of Volvo not to discount for downgrade to aluminium from wood on SE lux though !!!

I've ordered a Cosmic white, off black leather and nordic light oak. I've seen both the Al and oak and personally the oak does it for me. There were enough Al highlights in the car to offset the wood centre trim. Go to Volvo.com and play around with designing a car. It will let you choose interior and exterior options.

Nordic oak and off-black trim here too. Looks sensational!

+1 on that, I was a bit worried the the aluminium may get scratched or dented and look a little worse for wear quicker, it also does not show sticky fingerprints!

After having a couple of rental XC60's in Sweden (one Cosmic White with the 2 tone leather light interior + nordic oak and one Black Sapphire with black leather and aluminium) I decided black Sapphire with black leather and Nordic Oak being the best.

IMO the Aluminium is just too cold.

A pic of mine....

Default XC60 Wood Grain Console Panel

Mate

Wood grain in a vehicle with this level of technical specifications doesnt do it for me.

Anyone who has observed how genuine wood grain features deteriorate with time would be wary of installing this type of material where it is going to be exposed to sunshine, perhaps not an issue in the UK.

I question what material is Volvo actually utilising in their wood grain feature, is it wood or a synthetic look alike.

Default It seemed to be a real wood to me

It seemed to be a real wood to me, albeit as a veneer on a quality ply base, not plastic, very nice actually.

Seeing this photo and revisiting the showroom has swayed me to the Nordic Oak

Cheers for all the input

It's a shame that Volvo does not offer a gloss Piano Black finish as this looks very sophisticated with a black leather interior!
