Hi I have a '99 V70 ph1.

Thanks

Check under your front seats for a two pin purple/ green plug going from the car in to the seat base, if it has this fitted you are best sticking to seats from 99/00 ONLY as these have electrically fired SIPS bags within the seat, fitting earlier mechanically fired seats is possible but you have to trick the car in to thinking the electronic SIPS initiator is still in circuit - If you don't do this you will get an airbag warning on the dash.

Slight other changes between -98 and 99- front seats:
1/ Seat belt buckle switch on early cars was a micro switch on 99- seats it uses an inductive proximity switch, the two different types are not interchangeable.
2/ Where the seat belt connects to the base of the seat adjacent to the B pillar, on the -98 seats it is bolted through a loop in the end of the belt, on the 99- cars it uses a quick release clamp - Mike

Thanks for the info mikealder - much appreciated!

There's a W reg car down the scrapyard that has leather which should be a 2000?

Will have a look at my plugs etc and see if they match..
