oops, I didn't see your posting until a few minutes ago.

Good spot Jim, I've just phoned them up - its a taxi company, and the guy who is selling it is "on" after 7 tonight.

Hopefully its his personal car rather than a taxi.........but all will be revealed when I phone him back later.

I'll also bookmark the site. I've only been back in the UK for just under a year, so I'm not well clued up on where to look (apart from Ebay, Gumtree, Autotrader and PistonHeads).

Default Och aye the noo!

Ah well there you go you see.

All the McDougals with any get up and go have all got up and gone!

Have you ever noticed how the only McTickles who think Scotland is great are the ones who don't actually live there! Sean Canary springs to mind, along with half the BBC and most of the Labour Party.

And remember, the ones that do still inhabit the wilds north of Hadrian's Wall actually voted for Alex Salmond...........................Need I say more?

Jack

PS. Before I get letters from Edinburgh law firms - it's a joke guys - I love everything Tartan really - even still got my Bay City Rollers scarf!

Fingers crossed it is not some worn out shed of a cab with vomit stained fag ash impregnated carpets and is indeed his own personal car because it looks quite tidy and is a good price for the year.

It might have been........... but I never got to discuss it in any depth.

It was sold 5 weeks ago :-).

The hunt continues.

S***** Why don't they have the advert withdrawn once the car has sold.

The bloke was very apologetic about it, and has informed them that the car was sold. Presumably they like to leave the ads on their site to make it look more successful than it really is.

As they don't date their ads there is no way of telling when the ad was originally posted - the ad did mention that it was taxed until September, so I should have picked up on that.

The sites mileage estimate is also way off, the site stated that it was 240 odd miles away, upon checking it turned out to be around 350 miles away.

Unfortunately its not........ its the manky looking one from Newcastle :-). I spoke to the seller who seemed upfront, he's owned it for a year and I liked what he had to say about it, so I decided to go for it.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1506787954...#ht_500wt_1361

Strange looking wheels, which are presumably aftermarket.

A quick trip through the car wash should get it looking more presentable, and the wife can give the inside a scrub.

I'll keep my eyes open for a leather interior at my favourite scrappy. Its a good old fashioned one where you take the bits off yourself, and he charges next to nothing........ I got a nice pair of leather seats from a Fiat Coupe for £20 - they're destined for my Scimitar.
