Best handheld scanner for Volvo
I am after some recommendations for handheld scan tools.
Looking at the icarsoft specific ones, the Launch crp123. To a max of £150. Any other worth looking at? |

I like the idea of the dice, but would need to buy a another laptop, as I use apple.
Looking to read accurate fault code mostly engine, ABS also may be helpful. I have a cheap none volvo reader which cant read the codes for the "engine system service required". These were read on a £4000 snap on machine, in the local garage, but not keen to shell out that much! |

I keep an iCarsoft i906 in the glovebox and it reads most of the ECUs, it's handy for emergencies and portable, I have Vida Dice kept in the garage for the other bits

Apologies for jumping onto this post.
I've got ABS/Anti-skid, Alarm Service, and Brake assist faults popping up. I can fix the alarm one, and already ordered a battery, but is DICE/VIDA the best way to go for diagnosing the other issues? Many thanks! |

Quote:
Vida Dice is the most comprehensive diagnostics you can buy for the Volvo and with it you'll be able to do much more than with any other method of diagnostics. Your ABS/Anti-skid, Alarm Service, and Brake assist faults are most likely a broken reluctor ring

Thanks for that. The front shocks are being replaced next week. I'll get him to do the reluctor ring at the same time.
