Are these ok for my V50
I want the HID look but not into the expense & trickery in installing
I saw these on fleabay. I have a V50 SE Sport 2007. Will these bulbs fit my car? Thanks, Dave http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT |

No. (Well they will work but you will get error messages).
The clue is in the description where it says they won't work with cars with a CANBus system. |

No, they will cause more trouble than they are worth.

Hi,
since they're T10 then there will be no problem in fitting them. T10's are parking lights, so no CANBUS interference. I have had similar LED bulbs for quite a while now and no problems, but don't really expect them to light your way, you'll still have to turn on the main H7 headlight to see in the dark.

Cheers for that, are your bulbs the phillips ones for £14 each ?
What is the best bulb to get non HID & won't cause me any probs electrically to my car that is? What's the best HID look with just a plug & play bulb? Thanks, Dave |

Hey Dave, I have the very same LED's installed on my V50 as listed on the ebay link.
They compliment my HID's quite nicely and no more yellow tinge! They're good in terms of comparing to the standard bulb but not quite as bright as the LED's in the picture above. For the price, I was completely happy with them. Look at the prices for the one's in the piccy on ebay and compare the difference. Mine were £4 and the ones in the piccy I think are around £20 when I last looked (prices for LED's are always coming down). My V50 is a 2005 model and of course the lights are a little different, not hugely. I did run canbus compliant LED's before but they contain limited amounts of SMD chips. More chips, the more Lumens, more lumens and the brighter the output will be! |

Cheers for that Jason. I checked out the Lumens of the 2 & choose which to get. Can someone clear up my mystery, what is/are canbus?
Ta, Dave |

Basically it's a software system which integrates the components of a car. |
