Question rear park assist problem

Hi Folks,

I have an intermittant problem with my XC90's rear park assist, when reverse is selected the warning sounds immediately as if I'm already up against something, this happens most of the time.

There isn't any visible damage to any of the sensors on the bumper.

Anyone have any ideas about what might be wrong here?

Yep, I've had the same. One of the sensors is faulty and need changing. As you say it is an intermittant fault and whilst cleaning then may make it better (it don't for me) they are on there way out. You need VIDAS to find out which sensor and the fault must be on at the time its connected to VIDAS otherwise it cannot tell you which one. In my case I cahnged all 4 sensors. Its a bumper off job to change them but its not that difficult really.
