Default 1.6 eDrive - Lack of Power

Hi all

My partner has just bought a 2009 V50 eDrive and loves it.

However it seems very sluggish in second gear, and seems a worse than what I recall when I drove it home (appreciate there was one person less in the car).

Is this normal or is there something wrong?

Thanks in advance.

the only time mine is sluggish are when the rpm is too low and the aircon is on , apart from remembering to keep in the rpm range it has plenty of power not great but enough , it may just need some additive redex will do , asda do deals on it every so often , short trips dont help also a oil and filter change never hurts inc fuel filter

I have an S40 1.6 drive ... I had a similar low power issue very sluggish, 92k one owner when I bought it earlier this year.

The car is now outstanding.... I did two things.. one I had it removed which gives it about 30bhp more and second I had the DPF flushed and cleaned. My combined MPG was 50mpg before.. so far this tank is at 68.6mpg.... pulls from 1200rpm smoothly in 5th...

Very different car...

Thanks for the clarification...I should have guessed instead of asking.

I noticed you're in the South East too. May I ask where you got it remapped an how much it cost please?
