1966 Volvo Amazon 121 for sale.

I have owned this car for a year and while I was hoping to keep it for a lot longer I am now having to sell it because of moving to a house where a 4x4 will be required to get up the drive. I have used the car regularly and it has never let me down.

The car is located near Yeovil, Somerset.

Fresh MOT expires June 2018

History file with lots of receipts, old MOTs etc. Also original owners manual and Haynes workshop manual.

Alongside routine servicing and maintenance I have spent a lot of time and money getting the car really well sorted mechanically including:

New clutch and thrust bearing.
Front and rear crankshaft oil seals replaced – plus various other engine gaskets and seals.
New engine mounts.
Electronic temperature sensor and gauge fitted.
Intake/exhaust manifold replaced.
New starter motor.
Overhaul of rear brakes including new wheel cylinders, shoes, springs and fittings and new rear brake lines.
New prop shaft universal joint, centre bearing and rubber mounting.

Also:

New webbing for front seats.
Rear seat belts fitted.

I have also done various other small bits of work that would take too long to list here, but I have it all recorded.

All of this work has cost over £1000 for parts alone.

The car is mechanically excellent, especially with the recent work detailed above. The chassis is good and solid. The bodywork is good, but not perfect, there are some small bits of surface rust. The interior is generally good, but some damage to the seams on the front seats. Everything on the car works as it should, apart from the original temperature gauge which has been replaced with a new electrical one. The car is fitted with a decent CD player with aux input and speakers in the parcel shelf.

The mileage is genuine as far as I can tell and the car hasn’t been restored, but just well looked after.

Overall it is a very good and original car that can be used and enjoyed!
