volvo s40 2001 oil leak timing belt
Hi,
I have a volvo s40 2001 b41 b4164s2 engine. In the side of timing belt i can see a leak and i don't know what happen there. Also my car seems to loses oil from engine because every time when i check it decrease. What can i do to fix it with my Engineer? Thanks a lot. |

Most likely cause will be the oil seals on the camshafts - just behind the cam sprockets. These do not normally leak, best to check there is vacuum in the engine crankcase when engine running on tickover. If there is pressure the positive crankcase breather needs cleaning/replacing. Do a search on here for PCV and there will be a guide on how to replace.
