  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Seconded that you can just cut through the clip.

If you can target the section that holds little worm screw you can probably free the jubilee clip with less risk to the hose.

Just for the record, if you want to go mad on corrosion resistance, reliability, heat capacity, zero maintenance and temperature tolerance go for waterless coolant. Its the water that causes the problems, and there are no additives that increase the boiling point of water in a mixture, they do help with corrosion and freezing though, but need changed every few years. In the UK we often get away with it but once we get the occasional -10C or -20C all the old anti-freeze stops working.

The down side is it will cost about £100 to fill the system and you need more chemicals to remove all the water. Nice touch for a restoration/rebuild though.
