Mine has no EGR. Haven't the foggiest about the B number, but it's a 1600cc petrol straight 4 twin OHC non turbo non VVT.

The engine type number is normally on a white label on the wall of the timing belt end cover.

Your engine should be the B4164S.

Took off skirts to bring at all into fresh paint. No pics yet as it's work in progress

New front tyres, UR3, old Proxes were down to 2mm, and taking it back for alignment check on Monday.

Took it to Birmingham for the weekend, got irate at 60% of the drivers on the motorway for lane sticking, and applauded/swore at two LWB van drivers who were undertaking to make a clear point, including each other, but one doing so very dangerously. Almost hit someone. I also thanked and waved at every conscientious driver just for solidarity.

Came back via Northwich and Middlewich to avoid accident on the M6 in Cheshire, nice country drive with some good overtaking. I am starting to crave more power though, after spending half the weekend talking about motorbikes and sports cars
