I think we are all interested in the answer. However it must depend on individual driving patterns even on long runs.

Previous cars were 2009 2.4D SE Lux Geartronic and 2011 2.0 D3 SE Lux Geartronic.

It's leased and from what I've heard there's no discounting on these which I can understand it being the first of a new model line.

I guess you need time to have a play, but it's there some where.
Thanks - found rev counter today - it's available in Dynamic and Off-Road driving modes and sits alongside the speedo.

Better than finding it in the glovebox

True!

The area next to the speedo seems to have three options, nothing, eco meter (still trying to work out exactly what that does) and rev counter.

Update - Have to say the performance is fairly impressive although immediate pull away can be a little slow.

Mirrors don't drop down on parking - bit upset by this.

Suspension appears to be very soft on the front and it tends to go nose-in over speed bumps where it almost feels it's bottoming out. Might need to check my speed though - seems to be very easy to go fast as it's so quiet.

Going on bit of a run tomorrow so hopefully will get to test the motorway performance a bit more.

I recently moved to a V40 T5, i.e. with same engine, albeit lighter and FWD only. On long journeys with plenty of steady speed running, which is what most of my mileage consists of, the consumption is actually pretty impressive. I have covered about 2200 miles so far (so still breaking in the engine) and have averaged 40.3 mpg (calculated brim-to-brim, the car computer is always optimistic). So I would have thought mid-30s would be a good target in similar use in the XC60 T5. That figure compares btw with 49.5 mpg over 36,000 miles in the V60 D4 (also Geartronic) I ran before the V40 T5.

Drove Colchester-Cologne today. Approx 360 mls, with another 125 to empty tank. Approx 36mpg, fully loaded car, 2 people + a dog between 70-110mph. Not bad for a 2016 T5

I will be quite happy with that. What grade of fuel do you use and/or is recommended.
