Hi guys, I'm scraping a 1997 940 Celebration as I've replaced it with another 1997 Celebration =). The first one has a poor body as well as a lot of other small things that make it uneconomical to fix. Ive already got plans to remove the engine/gearbox/loom.

I know I should remove the seats, front wings, good headlights, Celebration dome light, trim around the windscreen and relays. But what else should I pull from the car that would be good for spares? Maybe if I could get enough replies I could make a list as it always a waste to scrap good spares!

And do you guys know how to remove the woodgrain trim around the dash?

Save all the switches (windows, HRW, sunroof, fog lights etc) and steering column stalks (indicators, wipers, cruise if you have it), the relays (might be easier to remove the relay box complete), all the small, easily broken trim from inside the car (most is NLA now), radiator, all air-con stuff (probably have to get the gas recovered from the system before you start), rear lights, door mirrors, headlining, sunroof motor, fuel tank complete with pump, separate fuel pump if yours has it, all lock barrels (if keyed-alike), all ECUs - the list could probably go on!

In simple terms anything that can be removed fairly quickly and easily and/or is prone to breaking, wearing out, dying, NLA etc.

I know there is someone after a pair of doors for a 760 so if the doors are ok (and preferably in the right colour) you may be able to sell them to him. When i remember the thread i'll add a post to it directing him here.

Thanks for that. I've already pulled most those parts. Fuel tank might be a bit big but the pump is a good call!

I've taken the wings but all four doors have rust spot from non repaired scratches. So I won't bother.

Does anyone need anything in particular. It was a smokers car so most the interior is trashed.

I did swap the interior out for a very nice half leather set. It looks very nice and might be a good upgrade for someone else

I'm not after anything specific but might be interested in a few bits (if they'll fit mine) such as the rear light clusters if they're red/clear, headlining, rear bumper, air con evaporator (there are at least two different types, one will fit, t'other won't!) and maybe a couple of other bits i can't think of just now.

Headlining is all there but not nice at all. All the good lights I've kept but the rear clusters are ruined. Rear bumper is not nice however it's not badly damaged. It's silver.

All the Aircon system is there. It never worked but when I shorted the low pressure switch the clutch engauged so I think it works

I have a hatch interior trim bit that's in very good condition with the break light. I have a full load cover that's is in OK condition with the fixings. And once again I have a very nice interior with maybe one or two clips broken. I also have the scuttle pannel ready to go as well has wiper arms with new balades.

All of this is near Milton kynes but it won't be around for very long!

I also have a NA backbox if anyone wants it...

Hmmm, not rich pickings for me then!

Any chance you'd be able to get a photo of the pipework where the A/C pipes go through the bulkhead on the passenger side please? That should be enough to tell me if the evaporator is likely to fit mine.

What colour is the load cover? Might well have a home for that!

Take it apart, save all the screws, bolts trim clips, dash clocks always handy to have, lights, fusebox/relays, brake carriers even if calipers are fubar
