Yeah good luck with that, your only hope is actually finding a manual whiteblock car to buy and yank it from which is a huge waste.
Just get an adapter plate for a Redblock m90. |

Whiteblock M90
Since the bellhousing on the M90 is integral with the gearbox casing, I am not certain that an adapter plate will let you put a redblock M90 onto whatever it is you want to put the M90 onto. If you are planning to put it onto a T5 or T6 engine, be warned that one of the reasons that all 3 litre V/S90s and 960s came as autos was that Volvo did not trust the whiteblock M90 with 204 bhp, whereas the conventional wisdom is that the redblock M90 is good for up to about 500bhp. I think it's something to do with casing stiffness.
What might be a different solution would be a Ford Cosworth (or other T5 box) plus adaptor plate - presumably also involving clutch and propshaft engineering.

Christ, I'd never trust an M90 at 500 ponies.
T5 is a good shout if you can find the bits over here, there's loads of bits and bobs you'll need to convert it though. |

Not all 3ltr cars were auto, I have 2 factory fitted manuals but the 2.5 is the more common yet still very rare manual.
I do have adaptor plates to the redblock M90 buyout will need to make a holder for a spigot bearing or you will get clutch issues. |

And yes, the 3.0 manual is extremely rare. I think there a only a handful in the UK and I have one of them. There are more 2.5's (not difficult) and a few come up for sale each year....like this one........... https://www.gumtree.com/p/volvo/volv...ual/1263243142 |
