Stereo/DVD: - Moving folders from the HDD to a USB

I've recently purchased a 2015 V60 and the HDD is nearly full. Some files I'd like to keep but others I want to delete. When trying to delete there doesn't seem to be an option to delete individual folders. I was wondering whether there was a way to copy all the files to a USB stick, delete them from the HDD and put back the ones that I want to keep.
