Hi Cosmic,

I will look today.

Have you already taken your leaky hoses off? I have successfully rehosed ATF lines. Could you do the same for oil?

Steve

Hi Ast85

Yes I think I do have one. Will PM price including postage. I think the main difference between the front and rear is the lack of childproofing switches on the V70 fronts. Not 100% but I also believe the V70 and C70 will be interchangeable. You may need to switch over the release cable from your old lock to the new one (to match colour of the lever etc). Don't know if C70 release cable is same length as V70.

Have you taken your old lock out? Is there a part number on it?

Lock part numbers seem to vary a lot, but maybe they are just supercessions rather than different parts. Also sometimes you can find a date and a country of manufacture. Obviously preferable to get a recent one rather than a 1998.

What was the problem with your old mechanism - microswitches or servo operation?

Steve

Hi Cosmicbike,

Here is the photo. If you don't need the screws or the seal, let me know and I would keep them just in case I want to block the hole again.

Hi Steve,
as yet the lock is still in place as it works from the internal pull lever, so I have not stripped it out nor do I know exactly what the problem is as I'm not getting any identifiable code from Vida/DiCE - I'm told the P1 V70 front N/S lock is the same as that in the C70 up to 2005, only the length of the pull cable is different due to the length of the C70 door i.e. not a problem as it just attaches. I have ordered one out of a C70 from an eBay seller/breaker, but would appreciate one supplied by/bought from a volvoforums website member as well as I think it an essential back-up which will be needed in due course.

I look forward to your pm with price inc P&P - NB as I live in Kent, it isn't realistic to pick it up from you - please choose the cheapest courier for you to use

Alan

Hi, Which type of idle stepper motor does it have? Is it the same as an 850 T5?
