Default No heating from dash etc

Hi all,

Hope you can help.

Our V70 heating as packed in, we get a very small amount of heat from the dash but not enough to warm the car

We have had to purchase one of them heaters that plug in to the lighter socket.

Dehumidifying the windscreen is a nightmare and we dare not think about breathing inside our beast! lol

Your thoughts/ideas please?

Here's the car:
V70 SE 20V 2.4L AUTO (ESTATE CONVERTED TO 7 SEATS)

Some things to help you out as I have NO idea where to looks or what to look for.

The wife's friend was driving our beast and she run over a Pigeon, it went under the car (not under the tyres) and they didn't see it come out the back anywhere.

Could the little fella be stuck under the car somewhere? / be the problem.
This was a couple of weeks ago though and there is no smell.

We have no way of raising the car up to look under it :/

First check if the fan is working by turning the speed to high, you will hear it if its working.
If the fan is ok, then it is most likely your cabin filter is blocked and needs replacing.
Its behind the passenger glovebox.

Thanks Steve and I am very sorry for the late reply, I have been away for work and just got back, the wife says it's still is not working.

She as turned the fan up high and no noise, nothing.

She went to our local Halfords and the guy checked the fuses, he said they was all working fine.

We will get it in to a mechanics as soon as xmas is over

Thanks again, much appreciated.

Now.. time to find the nearest Volvo mech' lol
