Volvo S80 d5 185 2007 Geartronic purchase?
I am thinking about purchasing a volvo s80 d5 185 2007 Geartronic.
The car looks like a nice car but the car has 100,000 miles on the clock - I am more concerned to how many mile the Geartronic box can last without problems? Any advice would be great |

Treated correctly these boxes will give you no bother. My last s60 had 160,000 miles on it when I sold it.
Gearbox was smooth up and down gears. Oil change at 100k |

I have read about both these going to high miles without problems and self destructing with not so high miles. I guess the correct answer is a test drive with the transmission fully warmed up - a good 20 min of hard drive. look for perfectly smooth shifting through the gears.
