Don't get me wrong I like having the lights as they are different to other cars and if it helps people see me then im all for that, just not the orange lenses. I think you mentioned about the yanks before I saw a show the other day red at the rear and white at the front wierd.

I do however have LEDs in the number plate lights but maybe they have different rules?

Your wrong Alex. I started a thread on the issue a long time ago - http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=111924

My v40 had Xenon blue front marker lights and red rear marker lights. It passd the MOT even when the tester noticed them and spent ages looking in the regs to find out if they were legal but they are not part of the test.

Mine haven't got any bulbs in Simon and the car passed with the side markers.

@ Alex it also passed with led sidelights but mine aren't too bright I must admit.

Go to a Volvo garage and they'll tell you something completely different!

You'd be hard pushed to find a Volvo dealer who will tell you anything other than the original Volvo spec. When I had mine in for the service, they pulled out my Sidelight LED's and replaced them with normal bulbs. Now fair enough, one was faulty and kept blinking with only one of the 5/9 LED's actually lighting up but the other was fine, but they flagged that up as being too blue!

I think I'll trust Clan on this!

I like the clear ones and would have them but I think they are overpriced so sticking with Amber lenses for the foreseeable future.

You can pick up a second hand set and when you sell your old 1's on ebay individually you can make most of the money back that is what I did except mine were new when I bought them

I saw some on eBay second hand, they went up to £23 odd very quickly, I expect they will go up more yet. I will keep an eye out for a bargain, I have to get service parts right now so cosmetic will have to wait a bit.
