Default Rocker Gasket oil leak

Just got car back from 6th annual service. Feeling smug that service and MOT was £360... until... I saw the quote to replace the rocker cover gasket which is leaking slightly. Just over £750. Seems they have to replace various other parts (eg injector seals). It's just over 2hrs labour and the rest is parts!

Anyone else had this problem? Had the gasket replaced under warranty about 3.5yrs ago. Am I just unlucky? In discussion with extended warranty people and if no joy (expecting: sorry Sir - we don't cover things that fail) will try for Volvo goodwill. But not holding my breath.

Hey I had mine changed at around 120k and surprisingly goodwill covered 50% of cost

It's not an unusual VEA issue, along with weeping from the cam end caps. May be caused by a failure of the PCV system?
