Default Turbo issue

Hi all,
My 1900 and 102 hp V40 ,first use in 2002 and near 200000 km has a turbo problem .I can see that there is oil in the intake turbo pipe to the intercooler and all the way to the intake from the motor.
I would like to change the turbo.I know there are various types
.How can I see witch I need?

Mine is also a diesel and a little oil in the intake is not unusual. What sort of problems are you having as mine started acting up at certain revs and it could be something more simple such as the boost pressure sensor. Turbos are expensive so start with the easier cheaper possibilities!

From what i know, the pcv system dumps back into the air intake which puts oil into the intake and all subsequent piping. If you are having issues with the turbo being funny on the 1.9d my suggestion would be to look at the EGR valve. A good way to diagnose EGR issues would be to fit a piece of metal between the valve and the actuator. Just Google egr blanking plates.

How can the EGR valve put oil into the intercooler?

The PCV system puts the oil into the intercooler. If you're having other turbo issues, i would consider looking at the egr.

The turbo can only blow oil into piping and by this the intercooler.
I can not see any connection from egr to turbo piping .The only connection is the exhoust to intake collector near engine and away from turbo high pressure side.

The looking at the egr was meant for the person who replied to you with their turbo issues. When my 1.9d was new to me it had quite a few issues which I thought were turbo related. Randomly losing all boost pressure or fluctuations boost pressure. It was all cured by blanking off the egr valve. I can only assume that it diverted the exhaust gasses away from the turbo which caused a lack of exhaust pressure which ended up with reduced boost. The valve opening and closing making the boost fluctuate. I haven't fully investigated how the egr system works so can't give you a complex reasoning. But my random seeming boost pressure issues were all fixed by putting a 08ece of metal between the egr valve and the actuator.

When EGR opens exhoust is mixed with the admission and make less fuel and air results in power down.Blocking EGR prevents exhoust mixing with intake.
