Default notchy change

my cars done 150k now and one thing I notice when I change gear between 1st and 2nd gear that it's a bit notchy, sort of moving through 2 bumps on the change. other gears are fine and say dropping from 3rd to 1st is ok and 4th to 2nd is ok.

my car I think is still on the original clutch and I presume its not a problem with the box so am I on the right tracks that it may be a problem with linkage?

thanks
splodger

Mine's been like that for years, now on 105k. I believe the linkage is a Ford part and isn't that wonderful.

Hi, have a 2011 D3 which was stiff and notchey going into 5th when I got the car and eventually stopped going into 5th altogether, turned out to be the gear cable. Don't know if this helps

Good input. Any more info on what the problem was with the cable and how to fix it?
